BIO: KATHY BRAINARD has been involved with table soccer as a professional player, promoter and writer for over 30 years. She began playing as a college student in 1972, earned pro status in 1076, and won back-to-back National titles in Women's Doubles in 1985 and 1986. She has continued to play competitively throughout the 1990s and 2000s on the Tornado national tour. A past editor of various table soccer magazines (Foos Noos, Table Talk), Kathy collaborated with World Champion Johnny Lott in 1980 to write The Complete Book of Foosball. Kathy also published the 1996 Who's Who of Table Soccer. From 2002 through 2004 Kathy served as the founding President of the United States Table Soccer Federation and as a member of the International Table Soccer Federation's Executive Commission. Today Kathy lives with her daughter Kelsey and son Robbie in Cheney, Washington, where she teaches French, German and table soccer to the students at Cheney High School.

BIO: Larry Davis first became involved in competitive table soccer as a player in the mid-1970s and in 1979-81 was a sponsored member of the renowned Arapahoe Foosball Team in Colorado, and while working for a sporting goods company became heavily involved in the promotions side of table soccer. Over the years he has also managed/co-owned video arcades and table routes, worked on pro tour staffs, worked for table soccer manufacturers and won numerous titles at different levels of play throughout the United States and internationally.

TABLE SOCCER ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:

- Active tournament player, nationally and internationally, since the 1970s; has played table soccer on over 70 different kinds of tables and in 24 countries around the world;

- In 1978 was founder of Chicago Foosball Association and Team; and upon moving to Colorado became sponsored "junior" member of Colorado's Arapahoe Foosball Team (1979-81);

- As co-owner of Sports & Games Broadway (1981-83) with Tom Spear, was first to introduce Tornado Table Soccer to Colorado, and first to run leagues, tournaments and operate Tornado tables in the Denver metro area. Ran first-ever Colorado State Championships on Tornado;

- Rated Pro on U.S. Tornado Tour since early 1980s; Master on European Lehmacher P4P Tour since 1996;

- In 1982 created a highly regarded ELO-based national player ratings system that was adopted for use by the Tornado International Table Soccer Players Association (1983) and later in a modified format by the United States Table Soccer Association (USTSA) (1986-89);

- Served as part-time staff member of every foosball pro tour in the USA from 1978-85, and as full-time staff member (and later, tournament director and tour bookkeeper) for the USTSA/Tornado Pro Foosball Tour (1986-96);

- Past International Sales & Promotions Director, Tornado Table Soccer, Inc. (1993-1997). Was first to establish Tornado distributors internationally, beginning in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Argentina, Japan and Malaysia;

- Promoted table soccer internationally during extensive worldwide travel (1987-present) and while living in Stuttgart, Germany (1999-2000); Conducted "Beat the Pro" demos and exhibiitons in over 20 different countries and across the U.S.A.

- Former Co-Editor (1993-1996) and contributing writer to Table Talk magazine with his columns entitled "Euro-Foosin" and "Wide World of Foos" (1993-2010); guest writer for Foosball Quarterly.

- One of the founding members of the United States Table Soccer Federation (USTSF) (2002).

- From 2004-2010, personally and extensively promoted the sport of table soccer to coin and sporting goods industry media and to newspaper, radio, television, wire service and internet news/sports/events and entertainment media, directly resulting in widely renewed interest in the game both nationally and internationally by players, operators, distributors, manufacturers and potential sponsors; and in greater total visibility/awareness of the game (in less time) by the broader public than that of the combined 1973-81 Tournament Soccer tours.

- Former member of the International Table Soccer Federation's Executive Commission and former President of the ITSF Media Commission (2005-2009), former member of ITSF Disciplinary Commission, current member of ITSF Appeals Commission;

- Was pivotal influencing voice -- and media communications lead -- in expanding ITSF's World Championships beyond its original 24-man singles event structure (from adding doubles to later women's, juniors and seniors categories as World Championship events to growing the event to it's current status as a multi-category, combined World Championship and World Cup feature tournament, attracting some 500 players and thousands of fans and countless media);

- Key driver/influence on nearly all United States Table Soccer Federation programs and initiatives (2005-2010) including the USTSF Corporate Sponsorship Plan, Tables for Kids, Tables for Troops/Wounded Warriors, the Sponsorship Best Practices forums, USTSF National Team selection/qualification, the USTSF press release program, extensive sports industry trade show representation and more; served as guiding member of USTSF website content team;

- Coach/Team Manager, U.S. National Table Soccer Team/Team USA (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008);

- An avid table soccer historian; is known to have one of the most unique collections of table soccer memorabilia in the world; Also known for his "Torsion" or "Torque" pull-shot demos;

- Has personally donated tables to multiple youth centers in Colorado and most recently, to the National Center for Children and Families, serving vulnerable children/families in desperate need, in Bethesda, Maryland. Continues to provide free pro exhibitions, lessons, and table maintenance locally.
